Chandni Chowk To China is a Bollywood film slated for release in 2008. It will be directed by Nikhil Advani and stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Veteran Star Mithun Chakraborty too plays an important role in this Film. This is the first time Warner Brothers will produce an Indian film.


The film earlier known as Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo and also Made in China, is written by Sridhar Raghavan who also wrote Khakee (2004) and Bluffmaster (2005).Chandni Chowk to China is said to be semi- autobiographical film potraying actor Akshay Kumar’s life. The story is about a chef who is mistaken to be a martial arts expert.

Shooting began in January 2008 and included a schedule in China.[3] Nikhil Advani later announced that Deepika Padukone will be essaying a double role in the film.

The music in this film is being directed by Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa. Work on the music has officialy began and is slated to release on November this year.

Synopsis

An action-comedy about a simple cook from Chandni Chowk mistaken for the reincarnation of an ancient peasant warrior Liu Sheng by residents of an oppressed Chinese village.
