Deepika Padukone unveiled LG Electronics’ latest phone,
New Delhi: Model-actress Deepika Padukone unveiled LG Electronics’ latest phone, the LG Viewty (model: LG-KU990), a launch function on 24 December in the city.
The handset has a 5-mega pixel camera with a Xenon flash and also offers manual focus option for distinct shots. The built-in image stabilizer helps mitigate blur images resulting from unsteady hands. The instrument has an array of options of ISO settings —100, 200, 400 and 800 — for indoor or night shooting and records video up to 120 frames per second (fps), the highest frame speed offered by any handset camera. Videos can be directly uploaded and edited to Youtube.
The phone was awarded the 2008 iF product design.
Speaking at the launch, V Ramachandran, director, sales and marketing said: “Following the success of Chocolate and shine phones, we expect to have a hattrick with Viewty. The phone is seen as a much awaited product from LG and we are sure our technological edge and style factor will be taken well in Indian market.”
Retailed at Rs21,900, the Viewty is targeted at the high-end, tech-savvy consumer in the age group of 18-40 years. The touch-sensitive screen comes with a year’s warranty. The phone has sold over 310,000 units globally since its launch in Europe this year.
This 3G phone taps into the standard fast-speed downloads and uploads over the mobile network. The full screen enables users to view high quality DivX video files in widescreen format.
